Venturing to Vail- Beaver Creek

Vail, Bachelor Gulch in Beaver Creek, Colorado

In a word: Stunning.

The juxtaposition of the snowcapped mountains perfectly highlights the evergreens of nature all around you. During my travels, I was particularly excited about how much freedom came with being in the mountains. The gorgeous views from the top were awe-inspiring and it was beautiful how much nature was reinforced into the interior design to create a sense of warmth & coziness. Never before have I been able to draw so much nature-inspired design features from one single destination.

Whenever I jet set, I tell myself that I will go as a tourist, and not for work. However, as a global designer, I cannot help but become a student of interior design wherever I am.

During my trip, I stayed at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton. Envision a sophisticated alpine hideaway amidst the Rocky Mountains; it was a truly memorable experience. Upon entering, I felt like time melted away like the gentle whisps of snowfall. Then I looked around and was surrounded by splendor: the natural beauty of stone and natural wood was striking.

Inside, the residences there featured posh furnishings, gorgeous gourmet kitchens, marble countertops, and heated tile floors, and the coolest cast-iron whirlpool tub to unwind at the end of the day. Outside, the chic firepit reminded me of the comforts of home, sharing stories with friends and family as we cozy up by the fireplace...

While taking in the sights throughout Vail- Beaver Creek, I experienced wonderful destinations including the elevated mountain dining lodge, Slope Room, found nestled inside Gravity Haus Vail. Here, I truly had the purest taste of all the Colorado mountains had to offer. This restaurant is renowned for only using the freshest, vibrant organic ingredients sourced from trusted Rocky Mountain purveyors. This dining experience reminded me of how our design team infuses local art, clean sophistication, and curated custom pieces and furniture to delight the visual palette.

Slope Room is guided by three fundamental questions:

1. Is it good for you? 2. Is it good for the planet? 3. Does it provide an amazing experience?

As an interior designer, I found many parallels in my own work when settling into this plush, cozy Colorado restaurant and bar.

In addition to an unbelievable meal at this gorgeous ski hotel, I also had the chance to partake in an authentic German/Austrian dinner at Pepi's and then a beautiful French restaurant called The Vintage. All of these destinations evoked a modern, take on bringing natural elements into the space along with welcoming textures to make the literally cold atmosphere into some of the coziest places you’ll never want to leave.

When you come home, you will feel a level of comfort and relaxation that is only rivaled by an actual vacation. How would it make you feel to model your home after the mountains of Vail? Being able to soak up all the design elements that the world has to offer is a passion for me. I have been able to transform any travel into a lesson in interior design. Using this methodology, InterLux Interiors has blossomed into a truly global design agency that is able to recreate any style from all around the world.

Home is where your heart is and that is how your interior design should be reflected. It is my pleasure to be able to give your home a slice of your favorite destination. Infusing the comfortable, modern chic style of Vail into your home will have you feeling like you are taking a journey back to the freeing mountain ranges.
